Accra Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways with a 1-0 home win against Nations Football Club in the Ghana Premier League Week 14 fixture on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The Phobias were handed a tough test after a 2-0 defeat to Karela United in last weekend’s fixture in Tamale. Both Nations FC and Hearts of Oak were missing the services of two key players, Razak Simpson and Benjamin Asare, for the away and home sides, respectively.
Hamza Issah headed home the only goal of the game in the 69th minute to hand the home side a massive win at the University of Ghana Stadium. Hearts of Oak have now gathered 24 points from 14 games in their quest to win this season’s Ghana Premier League trophy.
Their next game will be against Aduana Football Club at the Agyemang Badu Sports Stadium in Dormaa.
